New Beginner Course in 2025! Two week course on Tuesday 2nd and 9th September from 7.10pm for one hour. Learn the basic footwork and fundamentals of lead and follow and a few moves put together in a short Lindy Hop routine.

Improver Classes from 8.10pm: After completing your beginner course you may join our improver class. We will teach you moves and routines to build your fluency for social dancing, You'll be dancing to a wide variety of music including swing - R&B - Chart Hits - Rock’n’Roll, Soul, Motown and more!

No booking required, pay on door at £7 per person for lesson and dancing, pay by phone,card or cash. To help with your practice you are free to video the evening lesson for your own personal use.

Our Venue The Bluebirds Social Club

This club has a large beautiful dance floor with comfortable side seating and tables for socialising, a very reasonable bar, large car park, good air flow and to top it all twinkly fairy lights and glitter ball if we want them.

Address: 4, Ham Lane, Longham, Ferndown BH22 9DP ( fairly near opposite Haskins Garden Centre). Entry to the venue is through gates off of the B3073.

Performance Troupe

The JitterbugJive troupe perform at events and festivals in the Dorset area, this year we have performed at music festivals, car shows, private events, Hotels and Charity events. If you are interested in joining our team of dancers and perform Lindy Hop at the highest level then come along to one of our classes and chat to Linda or Den.

Your teachers

Linda and Den are both fitness professionals and qualified teachers for Adults. From 1999 to 2004 they won numerous jive contests dancing Lindy Hop and have been performing Lindy Hop since 2004 and with our troupe since 2015.
